“Don’t Jinx it!!”. “Hey, that’s just Murphy’s Law”. “That’s bad Karma, don’t do it!”
Chances are, we have all heard these types of sayings and some believe that there are layers of truth to them. I would submit that they are easily identifiable starting points for people to begin to understand and grasp the ideas of moral thermodynamics we are trying to present on this website. Ie: “If, you push here, the universe will give somewhere else”.
The idea that the smallest action you can think of (blinking, etc) creates ripples in the physical and moral universe is not an easy starting point for a conversation. Somehow, talking about Murphy’s law is an easier “on-ramp” which is why I created this particular blog post.
If you are interested in learning more, crawl around the website for a little bit. There are some outlandish things here that have been fun to explore from a thought experiment perspective. If you have been fascinated by the idea of “Jinxing” something, perhaps you have been unknowingly been fascinated by the idea of moral architecture all along. : ) Let’s explore all of it together!
